Day Porter Services
In a high-traffic facility, restrooms and lobbies do not degrade evenly across the day. They degrade in bursts — the morning arrival, lunch, an event letting out — and a building cleaned only overnight spends its busiest hours at its worst.
A day porter is on site during business hours to absorb those peaks: checking restrooms on a rotation, restocking before things run out, and handling spills within minutes rather than overnight.

Where a porter pays for itself
The clearest case is any building where the public forms an opinion: a multi-tenant lobby a prospective tenant walks through, a medical waiting room, a retail entrance, a school during dismissal. In those spaces the state of the building at 2pm matters far more than its state at 6am.
The second case is risk. Wet floors, restroom failures and tracked-in ice are liability events, and they are resolved in minutes by someone already on site versus hours by someone who has to be called.
How porter coverage fits with night cleaning
A day porter is not a replacement for the nightly janitorial scope and does not do that work. The two are complementary: nights handle the full reset, the porter handles the drift.
In practice, adding a porter often lets the nightly scope get slightly lighter on the items the porter already keeps up, so the combined program costs less than the two priced independently. We will model that during the walkthrough.
Coverage that matches your peaks
Not every building needs a full day. Some need four hours built around lunch; a school might need coverage that starts before arrival and ends after dismissal; an event venue may need porters only on event days.
